Mike Santana Files Trademark for Ring Name Amid TNA Contract Reports
Mark Sanchez Jr. filed to trademark the ring name “Mike Santana” with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office on May 5, 2026, listing IC 041 services that include wrestling exhibits and performances, televised and live appearances, online interviews and providing wrestling news, with first use cited as June 2021. The filing follows a PWInsider report that Santana’s TNA contract is set to expire this summer and replaces an earlier June 24, 2021 trademark attempt that was abandoned due to an incomplete response.
Santana returned to TNA on April 20, 2024 after five years in AEW and is the current, two-time TNA World Champion; during his initial 2017–2019 run he and Ortiz were four-time TNA Tag Team Champions. The fresh trademark filing appears to be a move to protect his in-ring identity amid reported contractual uncertainty.
