Místico and El Desperado Capture IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Titles at NJPW Wrestling Dontaku
At night two of NJPW Wrestling Dontaku on May 4, El Desperado and CMLL star Místico defeated TMDK’s Kosei Fujita and Robbie Eagles to capture the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Championship. The tandem’s victory ended Fujita and Eagles’ reign and injected new momentum into NJPW’s junior tag division.
The pairing of El Desperado’s ring savvy and Místico’s high-flying prowess presents fresh match-up possibilities for the division as NJPW heads into its upcoming schedule. Fans can expect a renewed focus on the junior tag scene with the new champions now setting their sights on defenses across Japan and potentially beyond.
