Mistico Hopes to Return June 5 After Knee Injury, Awaits Medical Clearance
On the May 27 edition of CMLL Informa, Mistico — wearing a knee brace — revealed he suffered a knee injury on May 17 while teaming with Mascara Dorada and Neon in a victory over Los Guerreros Laguneros (Gran Guerrero, Stuka Jr. and Ultimo Guerrero). He was evaluated after the match and initially ruled out of action.
Mistico said he needs another week of rest, is attending physical therapy twice weekly, and is targeting a June 5 return but remains dependent on medical clearance. The 43-year-old is one-half of the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Champions with El Desperado and the reigning CMLL World Light Heavyweight Champion, and still has dates scheduled with both CMLL and NJPW.
