Action Andretti VS QT Marshall!
The Sight to See made his presence known at Supercard of Honor. Not in his loss to Sammy Guevara during Zero Hour, but during the main card, where he cost Lio Rush his match for the ROH World TV Championship! Will Action continue to make an impact as ROH continues in Salisbury? Or will God’s Gift to Wrestling bring the DOOM?
Before the match, Action gets the mic. The fans boo before he even starts, but Action says, “Hey, check it, check it. As hard as it is to look at all of your ugly faces, it feels kinda special to be here. Because this is where it all started for me against this very man right here.” Fans chant, “We Don’t Care! We Don’t Care!” Action says when he’s talking, y’all shut your mouths! But hey, QT, introduce yourself. Action holds the mic out, QT says he is QT Marshall, and he brings the doom. But Action says, “Wrong, wrong, wrong! QT Marshall, the dreamer! The man that never gave up on his dreams, and never will.
“But y’know what? I like that. That’s actually pretty cool. So, everybody, let’s give it up for QT.” The fans do cheer and applaud QT, and Action says that’s right, he knows there are some dreamers out there. Let ’em hear you! The fans cheer more, and Action says there we go. Action used to be like that: A guy that works hard, keeps his head down, hoping all his dreams will come true. And when he did the right thing by turning on Lio Rush, all the people booed him! But Lio, he’s the one that turned his back on Action first! Lio’s the one that dissed Action, so he got what’s coming to him. Lio doesn’t deserve to be champion!
And QT, now you get a reality check! QT is the guy who wrestles celebrities just to get attention. QT works in the office just to get opportunities. Hell, QT is so desperate, he went and created his own damn promotion just to get more attention! QT, that dream you have, that career you’re trying to fulfill, it ain’t gonna happen ever! Now, Action will embarrass QT like he did Lio. The fans boo, but Action finally puts the mic away. The Code of Honor is not upheld, the bell rings, and the two circle. The fans rally up for QT and the two tie up. Action arm-drags QT, then soaks up heat. Action eggs QT on, they reset and circle again.
The two tie up, Action headlocks for the takeover, but QT headscissors. Action flails while the fans cheer, and Action kips free. The fans boo as Action brushes himself off. But QT hits another takeover! The fans cheer, but Action fights to his feet. Action powers up and out, but QT RUNS him over! The fans cheer again, and things get moving. Action drops down, hurdles, but QT swings. Action ducks ‘n’ dodges, tilt-o-whirl RANA! QT tumbles to a corner, Action runs up, but QT puts him on the apron. Action HOTSHOTS QT, then springboards in, FLYING LARIAT! The fans boo again but Action just soaks it all up.
Action stalks QT to a corner, stomps a mudhole in, then digs his boots in. The ref counts, Action backs off, but Action scoops QT to SLAM! Action then rolls back so he can run up, IMPLODER TORNILLO! Cover, TWO! QT is tougher than that but Action stalks him to a corner. Action BODY BLOWS, then CHOPS, but the fans rally for QT. Action stalks QT, CHOPS him again, but QT turns things around to CHOP back! The fans cheer as QT whips, but Action handsprings to BACK ELBOW! Action frowns as he brushes off his stinging chest. Action waits as QT rises up, and he dusts off his shoe before the PENALTY- NO, QT dodges the kick! And the moonsault!
Action still STANDING SHOOTING STARS! Cover, TWO! The fans cheer and rally behind QT, but Action scuffs and pie faces him. Action talks trash but QT fires body shots! And a JAB! And he ROCKS Action with a forearm, then an UPPERCUT! Action mule kicks, front kicks, ROLLING ELBOWS, then he runs, but QT follows! QT CLOBBERS Action, DECKS him, then whips. Action reverses but QT handsprings to NEURALIZER KICK! The fans fire up for QT and he calls his shot! Action rises up, staggers over, DIAMOND- NO, Action denies the shot! Action handsprings, and he hits a STUNNER! Cover, TWO!
The fans fire up for QT as he survives! The fans taunt Action, “You Can’t Wrestle!” But Action MOONSAULTS, only for QT to move! POP-UP FOREARM! The fans fire up as QT then LIONSAULTS! Cover, TWO! Action survives and QT is beside himself! The fans rally with QT again, and he hoists Action into a Canadian Rack! But Action sips free to ROCK QT! Action runs up, QT pops him up, but Action lands on the corner! QT avoids the Quebrada, but not the SHOTGUN! Action then SPLIT LEG MOONSAULTS! Cover, TWO! QT survives again and Action is frustrated. Action huffs ‘n’ puffs, but the fans say, “ACTION SUCKS!”
Action drags QT up, torture racks, but QT fights free! QT SHOVES Action to a corner, then runs up, but Action holds the ropes to stop the cutter! High stack, feet on ropes, but the ref sees it! The fans cheer the ref but Action gets mad! Action argues with the ref but cheating is cheating. Action snarls as he storms over to T, but QT catches him in a cradle! TWO!! SUPOERKICK! SUPERKICK! And then Action roars, runs, and springboards, but into the DIAMOND CUTTER!! The fans cheer, but Action tumbles out of the ring! QT hurries out after QT, puts him back in, and the fans rally up again. QT goes up the corner, but Action DROPKICKS the legs!
Action hurries to CHOP QT, then he climbs up to join him! QT fights the clinch with elbows, then he SUPER GOURD BUSTERS! Action flounders, QT adjusts, and the fans fire up! SWITCHFOOT MOONSAULT MISSES as Action dodges! Then tilt-o-whirl DDT! Action hurries to torture rack QT, for the RUNNING NECKBREAKER! Cover, Action wins!
Winner: Action Andretti, by pinfall
The disrespect shown aside, Action still has the skills to back up his words! But then he kicks QT out of the ring, further disrespecting QT! Will nothing stop Action from making himself THE Sight to See in ROH?
Shane Taylor speaks.
“AR Fox. If there was anybody outside of STP that I would be happy won their first champion, it’d be you. You are an innovator that is second to none in this game. Every top star in this industry has stolen something from AR Fox. This is simply wrong place, wrong time for you. Because I wasn’t ready, and cost my team the Six Man Tag Team Championship. And then we lost our opportunity at the (AEW) Trios Championships. It’s been a hell of a week for me, Fox. So you’ll understand why I have to run through you and take back my ROH World Television Championship, the championship that I made famous.
“Legends never die, Fox. But tonight, you do. Rumble, bad man, rumble.” Will Big Bad Shaney T cancel the Whole Fox’n Show one week into the run? Or can Fox keep his “season” going into the summer?
Time to Chop It Up with Caprice Coleman.
This week, Caprice sits down with Eddie Kingston & Ortiz. He thanks them for taking this time, and says that while they’ve been friends for a long time, Caprice says he is still a big fan of theirs. Eddie has done so much, practically down it all. ROH World Champion, AEW Continental Champion, NJPW Strong Champion, what is he back for? Does he have unfinished business? It can’t be to get respect, everybody already respects The Mad King. Eddie says they better respect him. But nah, to him, he hasn’t accomplished nothing, there’s always more. So long as he is alive, as long as he can breathe, there is almost more, he can always get better.
Eddie knows ROH will make him better, cuz he sees that hungry locker room. Eddie hasn’t seen something like that in years. Caprice says they all break into the business somehow, but Eddie broke in with that group from New York: Homicide, Low-Ki, Xavier. There was a time when they were the young guys. Is Eddie here to mentor, to be a wall, or what? Eddie is gonna do what Homicide did, and how he did it: He wants people to fight him, get through him, prove it to him, and to Ortiz. You gotta prove you want this. Saying it is one thing, but doing it is another. So is the only way to prove that by beating them? Or what?
Well, no one’s beating Eddie & Ortiz. But they can show the heart. ROH was built on fighting spirit, all the way back to 2002 with the style they brought. Eddie got his start in 2001, ROH started in 2002, and ROH is where Eddie wanted to be. He was thankful ROH brought that to America. Caprice asks Ortiz if this is a friendship, business relationship, or somewhere in between? Eddie asks Ortiz if they’re friends, Ortiz says he’d like to think so. Yeah, they’re friends. Friends and business partners at the same time, because of ROH and AEW, it’s business that they take seriously. You have to, this is their lives, how you feed your families and pay for stuff. This is how Eddie gets YouTube Premium, no commercials.
Caprice says yeah, it’s funny to think back, they were kids dreaming, but now they’re handling business with the dream. First you were buying stuff you wanted, now you’re buying things for the kids. The respect value is that they’re here to reach back, finding those who really want it. Caprice wonders that, too. Are there wrestlers who want this, who were doing the same things as they were to get where they are? Or are they just walking a path and ending up there? You work the indies to get to the top, ROH was a top indie, you had to earn your spot. The King’s Road, as it were, you work hard to get there.
Another question for Ortiz. He knows Eddie better than anyone, what is he not telling everybody? That’s a loaded question. They laugh it off, and Eddie says don’t get us in trouble now. Ortiz says Eddie already said it, they have the same mentors and role models. Homicide was their main one, and he was the measuring stick. They wanna do him proud. They have done so much for this business, they don’t wanna leave it behind in shambles. They wanna change the culture and can do that in ROH. If there is more to do or say, then Ortiz doesn’t wanna know. All he needs to know is if Eddie needs him and he’ll be there.
Eddie says nah, he’ll say it. In Eddie’s eyes, the ROH locker room is better than the AEW locker room, it just needs leadership. Eddie doesn’t wanna be the leader, but he can show them how to lead, and that’s how you pay it forward. There you go, you got it outta him. He sees guys like Price & Oliver, Billington & Priest, The Infantry, all this talent that is the future, but no one here is going “Hey, no, don’t do what they do. Do it the right way.” Caprice says it’s like football players in NCAA compared to NFL, the ones who want it so badly VS the ones who already have it, maybe take it for granted. Caprice gets that, and what Eddie & Ortiz bring is what ROH is about.
Caprice brings up their style, hybrids of Strong Style and such. Eddie & Ortiz are great wrestlers, but also fighters, so teams don’t know how to prepare. Eddie says Ortiz is the better wrestler, he’s more calm. Yin ‘n’ yang. Eddie tries to wrestler, but once they hit you, you go to what you know. Caprice says stop playing, former ROH World Champ. But Caprice sums it up as Eddie & Ortiz are here to help the future of ROH. Caprice thanks Eddie & Ortiz for their time, but will their time and energy help cultivate this great crop of young wrestlers?
ROH shares footage from after Supercard of Honor.
Dalton Castle & The Outrunners returned backstage as the NEW ROH World Six Man Tag Team Champions. Truth Magnum says that the saying is, “Game recognizes game.” Well tonight, STP, y’all were looking real unfamiliar! You might be #THEM, but this is #US, and they’re champs! Tell ’em, Turb! Turbo Floyd spins to find Castle, and holds his face real close as he reminds Castle of what he said when they first started teaming. They would be champs, they’d feel the steel, tickle the nickel, and they did it! They’re the NEW ROH Six Man Champs! The Peacock is so happy that they weren’t lying. Turbo would never lie!
Castle says he has what they call… the WONDERLUST. IT’s a big world out there, and Castle wants to fight all over it! And thanks to the Outrunners, these titles are their round trip tickets to anywhere on the globe. Three tickets to paradise! They did it, boys! Turbo Floyd, you SONOVABISH! They shake hands and flex, will the #Castlerunners World Tour be the best thing on television?
AR Fox speaks.
“Shane Taylor. You talk a lot. Some people say you talk too much. I don’t think you talk enough, cuz you could’ve just asked me for a shot at this. I know you held it before, but it’s mine now. It took me 20 years to get this, I ain’t giving it up that easy. You want gold so bad? After our match, go buy a watch.” Fox leaves it at that, but will it still be his time after tonight’s main event?
ROH shares more footage from after Supercard of Honor.
Deonna Purrazzo told Diamante, “You said that where you come from, you hunt heads and you bring them back to your pack. And where I come from, and I’m not just talking about New Jersey, we don’t hunt heads as trophies. We wrap them up in a pretty little bow and send them back to where they came from as a message, that if you want respect, you have to give respect. And if you refuse, respect will be beaten into you. That’s exactly what happened tonight at Supercard of Honor. So whoever steps up next for my Pure Women’s Championship, I suggest you heed that message, or become fluent in Purrazzo.”
ROH Women’s Pure Championship Proving Ground: Deonna Purrazzo VS Janai Kai!
Well, speaking of that, The Virtuosa is already stepping back on the Proving Grounds, and it’s up against a #KickDemon! Will Kai prove there’s no mercy in her dojo? Or will Deonna prove her prowess in grappling will outdo any kick Kai can throw?

With three minutes left, and all her ropebreaks, The Virtuosa made another masterpiece as she continues to be undefeated as Women’s Pure Champion. Will anyone be able to keep up with her technical genius?
Billie Starkz & Diamante VS Mina Shirakawa & Queen Aminata!
While Minion 400,237 & 3/4ths lost Survival of the Fittest, she “did the right thing” making sure Athena won it. However, Billie wasn’t exactly happy about it, and things were very tense to end Supercard of Honor. Can she and the Cuban Diamond prove they’re still MIT 4 Life? Or will that not matter against The Fighting Gravure Idol & The One True African Queen?
The teams sort out and the fans cheer for Mina as she starts against Diamante. The Code of Honor is reluctantly upheld, and the bell rings. Mina and Diamante circle, approach, then Mina slides for her shimmy. Diamante runs up, but Mina ducks the Penalty Kick to roll Diamante up. SOBAT, whip, but Diamante reverses. ROH World Television Championship: AR Fox VS Shane Taylor w/ Shane Taylor Promotions!
Just last week, The Whole Fox’n Show finally had his moment as he took this title from The Prodigy, Nick Wayne. Meanwhile, STP put out a challenge when they didn’t have to, when they weren’t taking things seriously, and that cost them their ROH World Six Man Tag Team Championships. But will Shane redeem himself by getting back the belt he elevated and that elevated him? Or will Fox fly too high for Shane to bring down?
The introductions are made, the belt is raised, and we see if 20 years of hard work is undone after just one week.
The Code of Honor is not upheld as Shane SPITS on Fox’s hand. The fans boo, the bell rings, but Fox bobs ‘n’ weaves! Fox kicks, Shane DECKS Fox! Winner: AR Fox, by pinfall (still ROH World Television Champion)
One week, three matches, three victories! The Whole Fox’n Show keeps on rolling, but who will be next to challenge him for that spotlight?
My Thoughts:
A very good episode of ROH to follow Supercard of Honor, but again I will argue a consistent runtime is needed. This was an hour and 47, so closer to what a two hour wrestling show really is after factoring commercials. They could probably do well with this length, they were able to cover the essentials. We got a great Chop It Up, good post-show promos from Supercard, and some good though somewhat filler matches from a few of those stars. Action’s promo with QT was alright, maybe a line too long, could’ve been more concise. But naturally Action and Lio each win so that they’ll have momentum going towards their own match.
Very good stuff from the Pure Rules Proving Ground match, in that neither Kai nor Deonna needed a ropebreak. I expected someone to step up and challenge Deonna on their own but nope, we’ll wait another week. Very good tag match of Mina & Aminata VS Billie & Diamante, but I suppose Athena disqualifying the match was fair. With this technically counting as a go-home to Double or Nothing, go-home math says Mina wins now, but I can’t be sure. And great title match main event, and a great win for Fox. I wonder if Fox gets a couple more title matches in before Nick Wayne returns from Japan and Best of the Super Juniors.
My Score: 8.7/10
