MJF Says He Turned Down WWE, Aiming to Be the Fourth Wrestler‑Turned‑Actor

On The Ariel Helwani Show, MJF confirmed he declined lucrative WWE offers, saying his legacy in AEW is more important than money and that he wants to be remembered as one of the greatest. He told Helwani he aspires to join Dave Bautista, John Cena and Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson as the fourth head on the Mount Rushmore of wrestler‑turned‑actors — ideally having built that reputation outside the WWE machine — while conceding “never say never” and noting conversations with Sting about forging a name without WWE.

MJF also reiterated plans to balance wrestling and acting, citing his role in Happy Gilmore 2 and an upcoming part in Violent Night 2, and confirmed he remained active in AEW after dropping the World Championship to Darby Allin in April. He denied rumors that the title loss was due to a film commitment and is scheduled for a hair vs. title rematch with Allin at Double or Nothing 2026 this Sunday.
