Nigel McGuinness Praises Commentary Freedom in AEW
Nigel McGuinness says his experience on commentary has been markedly different between WWE and AEW, singling out Tony Khan’s promotion for offering greater creative latitude. McGuinness noted that AEW allows him to express more candid opinions and bring his own voice to broadcasts, contrasting with the more structured environment he encountered in WWE.
The veteran commentator believes that the increased freedom at AEW results in more authentic storytelling and chemistry at the announce table, which can enhance fans’ engagement with matches. His comments underline a broader industry conversation about how promotions balance creative control and on-air personality.
