Oscar De La Hoya Accuses WWE’s Nick Khan of Lying During Senate Hearing
Oscar De La Hoya sharply criticized WWE President Nick Khan during a Senate hearing chaired by Sen. Ted Cruz on the proposed Ali Boxing Reforms Act, saying Khan “lied his a** off” when discussing the sport and industry practices. The fiery exchange highlighted growing tensions between boxing stakeholders and representatives of sports entertainment as lawmakers consider tighter regulation.
De La Hoya’s comments came amid debate over reforms aimed at protecting fighters and increasing transparency; Khan had previously testified in defense of WWE’s position. No formal response from Khan was reported immediately following De La Hoya’s remarks, which are likely to reverberate as the legislation moves forward.
