Paul Wight Says He Never Felt the Urge to Pursue MMA Despite Boxing Training
Veteran performer Paul Wight, known to fans as The Big Show from WWE and AEW, recently addressed why he never pursued a career in mixed martial arts, saying he simply didn’t feel the urge to get involved in MMA. Wight clarified his focus remained on his pro wrestling career rather than transitioning into the combat-sport world.
That said, Wight did reveal he spent time training in boxing during his career, picking up skills and conditioning without ever moving toward an MMA path. His comments underline a clear separation between occasional striking training and a full commitment to mixed martial arts competition.
