Persephone Out Indefinitely After Julia Hart Misting, Will Miss Women’s Survival of the Fittest

Tony Khan announced before AEW Collision that CMLL Women’s Champion Persephone is injured and “out indefinitely” after being misted by Julia Hart, ruling her out of the first-ever women’s Survival of the Fittest match at Supercard of Honor on May 15. Persephone, who wrestled last week’s Collision in a loss alongside Alex Windsor to the Triangle of Madness where the misting occurred, will also miss future AEW and CMLL appearances while she recovers.

Persephone had won a qualifying match for the Survival of the Fittest alongside Maya World, Trish Adora, Yuka Sakazaki and Billie Starks, all vying to dethrone long-reigning ROH Women’s Champion Athena (champion since December 2022). Earlier this year Tony Khan announced Persephone had signed with AEW under a dual CMLL contract; the promotion will now move forward without her in the May 15 lineup.
