Shane Haste Captures GHC Heavyweight Championship at NOAH Spring Mayhem Ryogoku
Shane Haste defeated Yoshiki Inamura to win the GHC Heavyweight Championship on Saturday at NOAH Spring Mayhem at the Ryogoku Kokugikan in Tokyo. After Inamura missed a top-rope splash, Haste landed two running knees, a suplex, a big lariat and finished with his Bomb Valley Death to score the pin; NOAH reported an attendance of 4,539.
Following the win, Haste — who is in the White Raven Sqwad alongside KENTA — called out KENTA for a title rematch as KENTA translated his comments for the live crowd, citing their title history (KENTA beat Haste for the GHC Heavyweight title on September 7, 2013, at NOAH Shiny Navigation). Backstage Haste said becoming champion was a long‑held dream, called the GHC title the most important singles gold of his career and vowed to seek “retribution” in a Haste vs. KENTA rematch.
