Shanky Eyes Return to the U.S., Japan and UK While Building His Career in Australia
Out of WWE since his 2023 release after a match with Gunther, Shanky has been active on the indie scene, most notably for Oceania Pro Wrestling in Melbourne. He told F4WOnline he’s “hungry for wrestling” and open to opportunities in Japan, the UK, Australia and ultimately the U.S., adding that AEW and TNA have not reached out yet; he even directed a message to Tony Khan and Carlos Silva asking for a chance to represent India on bigger stages.
Shanky also praised India’s WXM promotion and urged more TV exposure to grow local opportunities, noting that not everyone can make WWE and domestic platforms are vital. Since leaving WWE he challenged Parker Boudreaux for a title (coming up short) and later notched a singles win over Slade Mercer in PCW as he continues to rebuild momentum worldwide.
