Shawn Michaels Sends Drake Morreaux to AAA
On the May 3 episode of WWE LFG, NXT head of creative and talent development Shawn Michaels informed Drake Morreaux there was an opportunity for him in AAA. After Morreaux’s match against Tristan Angels, he was called into Michaels’ office and told he would be heading to the Mexican promotion, advancing his career outside the immediate NXT scene.
The segment marks a new chapter for the young talent and suggests WWE is using its developmental pipeline to place performers in international spotlight opportunities. Fans should expect Morreaux to gain additional ring experience and exposure through appearances with AAA as the angle progresses.
