Stadium Stampede Returns to AEW Double or Nothing 2026 as Jericho Accepts Ricochet’s Challenge

AEW has announced the return of the Stadium Stampede match to Double or Nothing for the first time in five years, with Chris Jericho and four partners set to face Ricochet, Bishop Kaun, Toa Liona and two additional teammates. The bout was made official on Wednesday’s Dynamite after Jericho demanded another shot at Ricochet following recent attacks; Ricochet agreed only if the match was a Stampede, questioning whether Jericho could find allies.

A backstage brawl saw the three Hurt Syndicate members — Bobby Lashley, MVP and Shelton Benjamin — intervene, hinting they could fill three of Jericho’s slots. The match revives memories of Jericho’s Inner Circle appearing in the inaugural 2020 Stampede (losing to The Elite) and their 2021 victory over The Pinnacle; the last Stampede took place at 2023’s All In at Wembley. Double or Nothing takes place May 24 in Queens, New York, with other top matches already announced including Okada vs. Takeshita for the International Title, FTR vs. Adam Copeland & Christian Cage, Darby Allin vs. MJF, and Swerve Strickland vs. Bandido.
