Swerve Strickland Attacks Bandido After ROH Supercard of Honor

Swerve Strickland returned to the ring Friday night and ambushed ROH World Champion Bandido after Bandido retained the title against Blake Christian at Supercard of Honor. Strickland struck from behind with back-to-back “house call” finishers and finished by driving Bandido’s head into a chair with a vertebreaker, marking his first in-ring appearance since a March loss to Kenny Omega on AEW Dynamite.

The attack follows weeks of vignettes with Strickland invading Bandido’s Old West world and sets up their scheduled meeting at AEW Double or Nothing in the opening round of the Men’s Owen Hart Cup. The two have only briefly crossed paths previously—both were in the 2023 21-man Blackjack Battle Royal at Double or Nothing, and Strickland defeated Bandido in a 2018 singles match in Dublin—making this a highly anticipated singles showdown.
