Swerve Strickland Hopes Aleister Black and Zelina Vega Find Fulfillment After WWE Release
Swerve Strickland told Bootleg Kev he wants Aleister Black (Tommy) and Zelina Vega to find a pro wrestling home that brings them happiness and fulfillment after their recent WWE releases. Strickland praised Black’s creativity and influence on his own career, recalling tape studies in 2017 and crediting Black for helping shape his early NXT path.
Both Black and Vega were released during WWE’s April 2026 roster cuts, and AEW has denied reports it is currently negotiating a return for Black. Whether AEW would welcome him back remains uncertain—Black departed AEW in 2025 for WWE and has publicly denied rumors about being reluctant to lose matches while with the promotion.
