Ted DiBiase Jr. was never in consideration for Randy Orton–Cody Rhodes WrestleMania angle, report says

Despite widespread fan speculation stemming from his past storyline ties to Randy Orton and Cody Rhodes and his on-site appearance at WrestleMania 42 in Las Vegas with his lawyer, Fightful Select reports Ted DiBiase Jr. was never seriously considered for inclusion in the Orton–Rhodes feud. DiBiase, who was recently found not guilty in a fraud case, filmed reactions in the crowd but sources told Fightful there were no plans to involve him in the storyline.

Fightful also noted DiBiase was not a WWE-invited guest and was in town for WrestleCon, with one source suggesting he may have used a sponsor on his shirt to obtain a ticket. The report also references a prior comment from Orton about being owed $25,000 by DiBiase, and includes DiBiase’s post-acquittal statement thanking his legal team and faith after seven years of public scrutiny.
