Templario Wins MLW World Middleweight Title at CMLL vs. MLW Viernes Espectacular
MLW and CMLL presented a joint Viernes Espectacular at Arena Mexico on Friday, May 1, 2026, moving the start time three hours earlier for the May Day holiday. In the main event Templario defeated KUSHIDA to capture the MLW World Middleweight Championship, scoring the win after KUSHIDA kicked out of a fisher suplex and Templario countered with a GTS followed by a powerbomb onto KUSHIDA’s knees.
The card featured several notable matches, including Angel de Oro and Soberano Jr. defeating Austin Aries and Trevor Lee after Soberano hit a frog splash, Neon beating Diego Hill with a top-rope senton, and Shotzi retaining the MLW World Featherweight Title over Garra Negra with a top-rope senton in the third bout. MLW World Tag Team Champions The Skyscrapers (Bishop Dyer & Donovan Dijak) retained against Los Infernales after Dijak hit a moonsault, while Olympia defeated Lady Frost and Los Hermanos Calavera bested Ikuro Kwon & Okumura.

Eddie Kingston is set to return to Revolution Pro Wrestling, with the promotion confirming he will compete at RevPro Live in London 108 on June 7. This will be Kingston’s first match for RevPro since March 2020, when he faced the late Mad Kurt.
No opponent has been announced for Kingston’s return, leaving room for speculation as RevPro finalizes the London 108 card. Fans should watch for further updates from the promotion as the event approaches.
