Tony Khan: Mick Foley Could Wrestle in AEW If He’s Up For It
Mick Foley will join the broadcast team for this Sunday’s AEW Double or Nothing pre-show alongside Renee Paquette, a pairing Tony Khan said Foley liked. When asked about the prospect of Foley wrestling in AEW, Khan said he’d welcome it if Foley wanted to, but stressed he would never pressure the former Cactus Jack and would only consider it if Foley felt physically able to meet the demands given his history.
Khan didn’t definitively say Foley is only under a broadcasting deal, noting Foley will serve as an on‑air host at pay‑per‑views, could make TV appearances and act as a brand ambassador while offering his “brilliant wrestling mind” to the roster. Foley, who left WWE last December amid issues related to TKO’s relationship with U.S. president Donald Trump, has undergone a major health transformation, losing over 100 pounds and saying he feels like he has a new lease on life.
