Tony Khan Open to New AEW PPV “Redemption” in July 2026
A report in April from Andrew Zarian suggested AEW will add a July pay-per-view called Redemption, and AEW President Tony Khan confirmed on Thursday’s pre-Double or Nothing media call that he is very interested in running a July PPV in 2026, calling it “something that could be very lucrative and very additive.” Khan said he takes pride in the quality of AEW’s PPV shows and would only explore adding events that he believes will be additive to the calendar.
If added, the new event would bring AEW to ten yearly PPVs for the first time in company history, continuing growth from three shows in 2019 to nine in both 2024 and 2025. Khan did not confirm the name Redemption and noted AEW has historically avoided January and February dates, with the lone exception being 2020’s Revolution.
