5 Wrestling Gimmicks As Goosebumps Books

You ever have one of those moments where a dumb idea strikes you like a lightning bolt to the brain? Well this is my electro-shock therapy. The concept is simple, to take an existing Goosebumps Book, and change the cover to reflect a wrestling angle, gimmick, meme or wrestlers. I set the restriction of not being able to change the title, so all of these books very much exist.

Let’s find out what five things particularly tickled me for this article.

5. The low hanging meme fruit of the wrestling world. When the title contains the words shocker and shock, it’s hard to think of anyone other than, THE SHOCKMASTER! At least in this scenario, his falling seems more ominous and less hilarious.

4. While this mask won’t kill anyone (hopefully), it will come as close as possible, while making you look like the most botch-tastic, uncoordinated person walking the Earth. Glad that Misitico regained his aura once he left WWE, because that Sin Cara mask must’ve been haunted.

3. Be you a fan of JCW or WCW, the Dark Carnival is a name many wrestling fans are aware of. Between Vampiro’s demented mind, Muta’s Underworld mist covered antics and Juggalo culture just being Juggalo culture…the Dark Carnival would be hard to escape from. At least you’d probably get some Faygo in a few of the endings.

2. Amazingly topical given the events that transpired on Monday. Oba Femi thought he had this monster killed for good, but like any good horror movie…he got back up. You have to love when concepts line up and retirements are works.

1. Did you really think I was gonna miss out on the most popular act in WWE? That’s right, Kit Wilson is on the cover! Oh…and Danhausen going around Cursing the world. You have to assume these curses are gonna backfire eventually, right? How bad could one little curse be? I wonder if one ending could be paying him 400 human monies to remove the curse? Imagine if Kit and Danhausen joined forces and they could curse the toxicity out of people. See now that’s cooking with grease.

There we go, not intended as anything poignant, but sometimes a comedic reimagining of childhood memories are worth the spin.
