Trevor Lee Reflects on the Wednesday Night Wars: “I Was Very Passionate That I Wanted to Beat the Other Brand”
The so-called Wednesday Night Wars began in 2019 when WWE NXT and AEW Dynamite went head-to-head each week, with NXT airing on USA Network and Dynamite on TNT. Trevor Lee, who was part of the NXT roster during that period, recently looked back on the competitive era.
Speaking with Jeremy Lambert and SP3 on the In the Weeds podcast, Lee reflected on the rivalry and admitted he was “very passionate” about wanting to beat the other brand, recounting how that competition shaped the weekly mindset for talent and creative.
