Triple H Blocks Cody Rhodes’ Eye Patch Plan After Randy Orton Altercation
WWE Champion Cody Rhodes hoped to capitalize on the eye injury he suffered in a recent clash with Randy Orton by adopting an eye patch as part of his presentation, but those plans were ultimately shut down by Triple H. The vetoed idea would have given Rhodes a dramatic visual cue to amplify his storyline while recovering from the incident.
The decision highlights WWE creative’s tight control over how top stars are portrayed and the direction of injury-related angles. Fans will be watching to see how Rhodes and the company instead choose to incorporate the injury into his character and future programming.
