WWE Backlash 2026 Sees Strong Advance in Tampa, But Fans Spar Over Ticket Prices

WWE Backlash 2026 arrives this weekend at the Benchmark International Arena in Tampa, where WrestleTix reports 12,234 of the 13,737 allotted tickets have been moved, leaving roughly 1,503 still available. Three new upper-tier sections were added to boost capacity, but the venue’s full 18,069 limit remains well out of reach; the advance is nonetheless a sizeable increase from WWE’s December 27 Holiday Tour stop, which sold 7,442 tickets.

Sales momentum has not quieted criticism over pricing, with the cheapest available tickets listed at $94.95 (down from $101.30) while many lower-level seats remain above $260 — a frequent complaint from fans after WrestleMania weekend. TKO CEO Mark Shapiro told investors that questions about demand and creative are expected and the company isn’t overly concerned, noting it was “unrealistic” to expect WrestleMania 42 to surpass 41. The Backlash card features Roman Reigns vs. Jacob Fatu for the World Heavyweight Championship, Trick Williams vs. Sami Zayn for the U.S. Title, Seth Rollins vs. Bron Breakker, IYO SKY vs. Asuka, and Danhausen with a mystery partner vs. The Miz & Kit Wilson.
