Young Bucks Say They Talked With Triple H About Crossover Match With The New Day
Matt Jackson revealed on a recent Being The Elite vlog that The Young Bucks and Kenny Omega had discussions with WWE — and even a 2018 phone call with Triple H — about staging an Elite vs. New Day match featuring Kofi Kingston, Big E and Xavier Woods. Jackson said Triple H may have been more interested in signing the trio to WWE than just the one-off bout, and despite serious talks the crossover never materialized.
Jackson also noted the groups’ long friendship and documented video game tournaments that fueled the idea, which often appeared on their vlogs and social media. The comments come after news earlier this month that Kingston and Woods exited WWE following reported requests for pay cuts.
