AEW Collision Summer Blockbuster spoilers from Cincinnati taping

AEW taped Collision’s Summer Blockbuster on June 11 at the Andrew J. Brady Music Center in Cincinnati; the episode is set to air June 13. Highlights from the taping saw Kenny Omega defeat Bad Dude Tito, Kevin Knight retain the AEW TNT Championship over Myron Reed, The Dogs (David Finlay & Clark Connors) defeat The Young Bucks, and Death Riders win a Cincinnati Street Fight over Shane Taylor Promotions. Other results included The Rascalz over Aaron & Austin Atlas, Athena beating Tiara James (with a post-match attack that drew Maya World to the save), Persephone and Hikaru Shida winning Survival of the Fittest qualifiers, and Jake Doyle topping “Speedball” Mike Bailey.

Promos and storyline angles also advanced: Omega spoke about his upcoming match with Zack Sabre Jr., Kyle Fletcher and Kazuchika Okada pushed to bring the AEW International Title back to the Don Callis Family while blaming Konosuke Takeshita for Mark Davis’ Owen Hart Foundation exit, and Ricochet called out Takeshita. Tony Schiavone apologized to Stardom over Thekla’s remarks only for Thekla to double down and challenge Stardom talent at Forbidden Door (Starlight Kid answered), while Mark Briscoe and MJF will reveal their Forbidden Door teams on Dynamite; Divine Dominion, Anthony Bowens/HOOK and the Bang Bang Gang also had notable segments.
