AEW Grand Slam Mexico ticket sales already ahead of AEW’s YTD average
AEW Grand Slam Mexico will take place Wednesday, August 5 at Arena México in Mexico City, and early ticket data indicates strong demand. WrestleTix shows 5,146 tickets distributed so far, though a full attendance estimate is not possible because the Balcón (balcony) and Gradas (stands) sections are not visible on the current map despite being available for sale; the venue lists capacity at roughly 16,500 while visible lower-level seating accounts for 6,071 seats, with only section N5 and the VIP boxes behind it currently unaccounted for.
That 5,146 figure comfortably exceeds AEW’s year-to-date average of 3,288 and points toward the promotion potentially approaching last year’s Arena México turnout — 13,000 tickets distributed for the 6/18/2025 Dynamite Grand Slam. No matches have been confirmed yet, but several CMLL talents including Mistico have been advertised; more complete ticket distribution numbers are expected in the weeks before the show.
