AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door Adds Continental Title Match, Tag Title Challenge

On Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite, Brodido (Brody King & Bandido) defeated the Death Riders when Bandido pinned Daniel Garcia, after which Bandido — the reigning ROH World Champion — challenged Jon Moxley for the AEW Continental Championship at Forbidden Door and Moxley accepted. Earlier in the night, AEW World Tag Team Champions Adam Copeland and Christian Cage brawled with The Dogs (Clark Connors & David Finlay) following a post-Double or Nothing attack; Copeland and Cage issued a challenge for a tag title match at Forbidden Door, though Connors and Finlay have not yet officially accepted.

AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door is scheduled for June 28, 2026 at the SAP Center in San Jose, California, and the current card now features the new Continental title bout and a potential World Tag Team title defense alongside other marquee matches including Will Ospreay vs. Swerve Strickland, Mercedes Mone vs. Athena or Maya, Kenny Omega vs. Zack Sabre Jr., and Thekla vs. Starlight Kid.
