Andrew’s JCW Lunacy Results & Match Ratings: Ep# 88

Who is the Dealer? Who is the Daddy? Who’s on First at JCW?

Published

on

Dani Mo is the new Women’s Champion, Caleb Konley overcame CoKane to become Lunacy World Champion, and Violent J reinstated the old JCW World title since Josh Bishop got screwed when Violent J stripped his title.

As I’ve said a few times, you don’t watch JCW for amazing workrate or great wrestling, but the Hardcore TV vibes mixed with Russo’s crash TV style of booking…just works. And when we get a good match on top of the insanity, that’s even better, it’s like gravy on your cheese fries.

Isn’t she like 9000 years old? How…just…Jasmin St. Claire Lynch much?

Ratings:

  • Malcolm Monroe III vs Purple Phantom: Monroe wins via Redwing Destroyer – SQUASH
  • JCW American Championship: Facade (c) vs Father Bronson: Bronson wins via Dirty Cradle – ** 1/4 – TITLE CHANGE!!!!
  • Anything Goes Match: Luciano Family vs JWO (Violent J, Willie Mack & 2 Tuff Tony): JWO wins via Meteorite – **
  • #1 Contender for Lunacy World Title Match: Josh Bishop w/Joel Gertner vs CoKane: Bishop wins via Spicolli Driver – ** 1/2

Results:

Russo comes out to gloat a bit about Caleb winning the Lunacy World title, and calls out Steven Flowe for his role in the victory. Ring Rat comes out with Flowe. Vince calls Flowe a Rock God, gives him a Golden Guitar and thanks him for stopping all of CoKane’s cheating. Vince then calls Caleb out, and Caleb walks out in a suit, amber aviators, licking the belt and strutting out with his theme music. Vince presents Caleb with a custom $100,000 belt, silver with Caleb’s face on the center plate.

Caleb goes through his resume talking about being a good boy everywhere, so fuck it. Then Vince invokes the “Jack Tunney Rule”, where the Championship will only be defended once a month because Caleb is box office, and small potatoes spot shows aren’t worthy. Vince says EC3 got beat so bad he’s not coming back, he sent Kerry Morton to India in a talent exchange, but the talent he exchanged for will just be mowing his lawn.

CoKane hits the ring, most scatter, Flowe tries to attack CoKane with the Golden Guitar, but CoKane catches him, grabs the guitar and breaks it over Flowe’s back. Ring Rat offers CoKane a blowjob, HoKane is in the audience looking annoyed, CoKane does a line and then Coke Slam on Ring Rat as HoKane laughs in delight.

Malcolm Monroe III vs Purple Phantom

Purple now? Let’s just hope this get more amusing…

Phantom can’t get out of his cape to start the match. Malcolm charges but Phantom hits him with a Big Boot. Monroe puts the cape over Phantom’s face, hits the Redwing Destroyer and wins via pinfall.

More of this goofball phantom stuff. I don’t mind camp and cringe, but purposefully bad wrestling is actually annoying.

Barnabas is in the back as the Zombies are snacking on pills, coke and other drugs. He snaps, calls the Dealer and she says the demands changed. So we’ll hopefully finally see who exactly The Dealer is.

JCW American Championship: Facade (c) vs Father Bronson

Facade had a heart to heart with Mac Davis, and seems to be back on embracing his babyface side. The Neon Ninja, looks reinvigorated. I’m still a Bronson fan, but Facade is fun.

Bronson attacks before the bell, but Facade ducks a strike, hits a few Round Kicks, some aerial fun and the Headstand in the corner to get Bronson off balance. Facade just Springs himself into Bronson which rocks Bronson so he powders. Facade enjoying the outside work, breaks the count, continues to attack Bronson, but Bronson reverses the Irish Whip and now starts working over Facade.

Kicks, driving into the guardrail and the ramp, Bronson throws Facade back in and looks for a chair in the crowd. Facade with a Baseball Slide to crash Bronson into the guardrail, then Facade does the Air Sabu Chair Step up Somersault Plancha. Facade rolls in Bronson, lands the Rope Walk Flying Kick but Bronson kicks out at two. Facade wants a Stinger Splash, misses, Bronson sizes him up, wants a move on the chair, but Ref gets clipped during the Airplane spin. Bronson tries to use the chair, but misses, Facade grabs the chair, measures…and is conflicted between cheating or being the good guy. Facade throws out the chair, tries to revive the referee, Bronson shoots the double, Facade kicks him off and tries an Inside Cradle for two. Facade Up and Over but Bronson stacks up Facade and uses the ropes to help the pinfall, Bronson wins!

Vince Russo try to set up a did with Joel Gertner so that Bishop takes out CoKane and they can come to an agreement later on having Caleb retain. Then Mac Davis has a fun if not very corny interview with Choppa City.

Anything Goes Match: Luciano Family vs JWO (Violent J, Willie Mack & 2 Tuff Tony)

Sally Boy was waiting in the crowd as they do their JWO entrance, he handcuffs Violent J to the guardrail!

Vincenzo, Vito and Sally gang up on Tony and Willie as Yabo is still handcuffed himself and he’s just powerless to do anything. Sal and Vinny double team Willie, Vito walks to the floor to beat the shit out of Yabo and just goad J, taking cheap shots while J is cuffed. Tony turns the tables on Vinny and Willie finally mounts a comeback on Sal. Since Vito is distracted with Yabo and J, in the ring it’s almost fair.

Vito heads back in, and goes after Willie’s knees. Sal now goes to the floor to slap Yabo, turns his back on J, and J headbutts the idiot, snatches the key off of him and frees himself. Yabo is running interference to distract Vito, J comes up behind Vito and kicks him in the balls from the back, J frees Yabo, and Yabo hits the Lariat and a Backdrop. JWO turning things around, Sal gets fed in by Willie and Yabo is taking his pound of flesh. Willie hits the Pop-Up Bitch Slap on Sal, Meteorite from Tony, Sal is packed up, rolled and smoked. JWO wins.

Blast from the Past: Corporal Robinson & Sabu vs Sexy Slim Goody & Raven 2008 Season 2 of JCW on SlamTV

#1 Contender for Lunacy World Title Match: Josh Bishop w/Joel Gertner vs CoKane

CoKane gets his signature rain of straws as he enters, while Bishop and CoKane stare down for about a minute. CoKane tries to go Collar & Elbow…wrong call as Bishop shrugs him off. CoKane tries to hype himself up but Bishop pushes him four times in a row. He finally changes the strategy to a Standing Switch, but Bishop shakes him off, hits a Back Elbow and showboats. Coke tries a few strike combos, but Bishop goozles CoKane. CoKane gets shoved into the corner, tries some rope acrobatics but Bishop stops it, Big Boot turns CoKane inside out. Caleb being on commentary is funny since he also makes the Vicious and Psycho references to the fact Bishop looks a lot like Sid in his current version.

Bishop Scoops up Coke, and then Sack of Shit that nearly throws him through the ropes and out of the ring! Bishop grabs Coke on the apron, Stun Gun does just that, but when CoKane tries to follow up, Bishop takes his head off. Bishop does the Stalling Suplex, holds CoKane for around 20 seconds and then drops him. Bishop and Caleb start jawing at each other. Bishop perches CoKane, but is taking his sweet time, between arrogance and getting distracted with Caleb. He slowly heads up, CoKane punches out and Headbutts, Bishop crashes, CoKane hits the Diving Clothesline.

Tweaking Kip Up from CoKane! Looking for the Uppercuts, Bishop eats a few, Bishop tries to stall CoKane, but a Rebound Lariat into a Cocaine Cutter for two! CoKane grabs his drugs, HoKane jumps the guardrail and wants CoKane. CoKane is distracted, Bishop hits the Spicolli Driver from the pinfall.

Alice Crowley heads out to beat the shit out of HoKane.

We get one last encounter with Barnabas and the Dealer…who turns out to be…Dani Mo!? Dani calls him Dad, and I wonder if that’s part of her character change?

Overall Score: 6.5/10

JCW doing their own South Park, who’s Cartman’s dad thing. It’s both ridiculous and hilarious, so I can’t be mad at it. Dani Mo with the Dealer reveal and calling Barnabas dad was news to me! The JWO throwback was fun, Ruffo being found, Bishop on a collision course with Caleb, Alice keeping the heat with HoKane. Even if the stories are weird, Jerry Springer, Crash TV stuff, its completely entertaining. Russo and JCW may have been kind of overkill in the late 90s and early 00s when edgy was everywhere. But now that edgy has been sanitized, things like Jackass are nostalgia bait, so this feels refreshing for a 90s portrayal of wrestling in 2026.

Still not really vibing with the Phantom humour, really wearing thin on my patience. But you won’t catch me complaining about Father Bronson wearing some gold. He’s been one of my favorite fairly unknown indie guys in this promotion, and I’m totally here for his ascent. But now let’s get Kerry Morton back too.

Solid show, not their best work of the last few months, but still fun.
