Andrew’s MLW Fusion Results & Match Ratings: 6.27.2026

So last week’s double episode was mediocre on all accounts. Given the fact we’re getting the new Southern Crown title reveal and they’re promoting Trevor Lee vs Matt Riddle…at least there’s a chance this is less of a gimmicky show.

Let’s see what MLW gives us. Hopefully more solid action like Fusion used to and less WWE style segments or slapnuts hardcore stupid balcony dive idiocy.

Ratings:

• Priscilla Kelly vs Zamaya: Zamaya wins via Killa Bomb – ** 1/2
• Paul Hauser vs Bryce Cannon: Hauser wins via Cloverleaf – SQUASH
• MLW National Openweight Championship: Austin Aries (c) vs Diego Hill: Aries wins via Brainbuster – ***
• Trevor Lee vs Matt Riddle: Riddle wins via Dirty Cradle – ** 1/2

Results:

Priscilla Kelly vs Zamaya

Hell’s Favorite Harlot and the petite savage Zamaya. This could actually be interesting.

Priscilla tries the Collar and Elbow Tieup, but gets shoved off. Then Priscilla tries a Takedown but gets shaken off. Priscilla throws a few quick Forearms, rope runs, Crossbody gets caught by Zamaya and Priscilla is slammed. Zamaya tries to follow up but Priscilla dodges through the ropes, big Crossbody for a one count. Priscilla hits multiple Wrecking Ball Dropkicks sending Zamaya to the outside, then a Senton Atomico smashes Zamaya. She rolls her back in, takes too long to go for a Round Kick. Zamaya catches the kick and then explodes through her.

Killa Bomb, and that’s the end of the song.

Fine match that showed Zamaya absorb offense instead of just dominate. So it showed another side of her.

Paul Hauser vs Bryce Cannon

Cornball headlock from Hauser to mess with the jobber’s crappy hairdo. Then Hauser catches him with a Manhattan drop into a not great looking Side Kick for a near fall. Cannon connects with an Enzuigiri, but Hauser fights through, Suplex into a stumbling Spinebuster and Cloverleaf. Hauser wins.

I’m not a fan of Hauser. This new gimmick is dumb, he’s a part time actor who’s out of shape and goofy. Trying to be a serious “mercenary” is moronic. Is he probably good for interactions on social media because he’s an actor? Sure. But let’s not act like we actually enjoy YouTubers, Musicians or Actors in the ring unless they fully transition like Logan Paul or BDE. 

MLW National Openweight Championship: Austin Aries (c) vs Diego Hill

A quick tie up, Aries shoves him off and offers him to just walk out of the ring now. A little on the mat rolling about, Aries powders and then Diego sits on the ropes and beckons him back in. Aries eventually gets back in, grabs a Headlock, shoots off and floors Diego with the Shoulder Tackle into a Bell Clap. Diego tries to pull him down and Headscissor, but Aries does his Handstand way out, Dropkick and corner laying pose.

Diego manages to Shoulder Tackle, then he flips over the low trip, and nails a Dropkick…then hits the Gritty to just to showboat. A little more offense from Diego as he cuts off Aries’ Dive with a Gamengiri, then gets cut off trying to follow up and Aries starts to fire in some shots. Diego then finally fires back. Diego starts taking over the Fighting Spirit spot, but a Knee Lift rocks Diego, Superkick pushes back Aries to stop his offense, Hip Attack into a Hesitation Dropkick. Diving Clothesline from Diego, but Aries kicks out.

IED from Aries, he wants the Brainbuster, but Diego shoves him off and hits the Oscutter! 1-2-but foot on the ropes from Aries! Diego goes back up, 450 Splash, but Aries kicks out again. Aries clutches the Bottom Rope for life to save a few seconds, Aries shoves Diego into the referee and then grabs his belt, hits Diego in the back of the head, Brainbuster onto the title, Aries, pulls him up on purpose just to hit more knees and the Last Chancery, but Aries breaks the hold before the referee declares him knocked out. Aries picks up Diego again and hits another Brainbuster.

Aries did it to send a message to Mistico since Mistico showed respect to Hill last week. 

Trevor Lee vs Matt Riddle

Hammerstone walks out to join commentary for the main event. 

The trade Gutwrench lifts and slams just to one up each other. But the match is starting off slow, with Riddle immediately bitching to the fans. They then keep the same mirror match stuff with Floating Armbars and counters and solid mat wrestling. Trevor has Riddle in a Headscissors, and it takes Riddle a minute to get out, they both dodge each other’s kicks once the Headscissor is broken.

After a quick commercial, we comeback to Riddle cutting off Lee, hitting the Fisherman Suplex Hold for a two count. Riddle then starts choking Lee, lights him up with a Chop into a Gutwrench Suplex…and just continuing to Kick, Chop and Drive in Forearms before a T-Bone Suplex into a Senton. Lee fights back with a series of kicks, and then a Crossbody into in center where Lee flips it Spanish Fly Style. They trade strikes, Trevor Lee Lariats Riddle to the floor, PK from Lee and Riddle is kicked hard, a Flashing Knee, Elbows from Lee stumbles Riddle, Riddle hits the Pele Kick. Goes up and then Lee cuts him off with a Avalanche German. Riddle uses the referee as the shield but then takes a Dirty Cradle for the win.

Overall Score: 6.5/10

Not a bad show, nothing in ring was elite or crazy, but everything was fairly even keel and I’m not mad. Zamaya looked good, Riddle was amusing where it was a decent match that he still had to stoop to heel tactics. Same for Aries, he was tested more than he expected, so it made Diego look really good, but Aries should hold the title right now.

A slightly weaker show, but not a bad show. If things continue down this path, it’ll be a serviceable weekly program, but nothing Earth shaking. Hopefully we get to a few more big matches over the next few weeks, or at least good match.
