Big E: We Haven’t Seen the Last of Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods

Big E says he doesn’t believe Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods are finished with professional wrestling after both elected to take WWE releases in the company’s post-WrestleMania 42 roster shakeup rather than accept pay cuts. With their 90-day no-compete clauses expiring this summer and reported interest from the AEW locker room, Big E told The A2theK Wrestling Show he’s confident the duo won’t be hanging up their boots and that he’s letting them lead their own next steps rather than pry.

Speaking about life after in-ring work, Big E — now on WWE broadcast duty after his 2022 neck injury — praised the time the trio shared as New Day and said he’s happy Woods and Kingston can spend time at home with family during the break. He also noted his own gratitude for that run, revealed he’s planning to marry his fiancée Kristen this year, and mentioned a memoir due in February 2027 chronicling his recovery and journey back to joy.
