Cedric Alexander says NXT left him feeling “not important,” finds purpose in TNA
Cedric Alexander told Soundsphere Magazine that his time in WWE’s NXT left him feeling underused and without consistent direction, but that has changed since joining TNA. He said he finally “found [his] spot” in Impact Wrestling, where he feels useful and able to contribute to the company’s growth rather than “sitting idly by.”
Alexander also reflected on the prestige of the X-Division Championship, citing predecessors like Samoa Joe, Christopher Daniels, AJ Styles, Amazing Red and the Motor City Machine Guns as architects of the division’s influence on modern wrestling. Released by WWE in February 2025 and debuting in TNA nearly four months later, Alexander captured the X-Division title on the May 14 edition of IMPACT by ending Leon Slater’s 298-day reign.
