Chad Gable Reveals ‘Bonus’ Biceps Repair During 2025 Rotator Cuff Surgery
Chad Gable returned to action at the start of 2026 and is now rolling out a multi-part YouTube docuseries, with episode two chronicling his 2025 rotator cuff surgery in Birmingham, Alabama. Surgeon Dr. Jeffrey Dugas discovered Gable’s biceps tendon was “pretty much completely shredded” during the procedure and performed a surprise repair at the same time, a development Gable describes as a “little bonus surgery.”
Gable says WWE EVP Paul “Triple H” Levesque called ahead of the operation and urged him to treat recovery like a job, follow medical guidance and be patient — advice Dugas echoed as he praised Gable’s toughness in competing with the injury. Since his return he has continued momentum from before the injury, dropping a highly praised mask vs. mask match to Ludwig Kaiser in AAA and now working a storyline focused on making amends for past disrespect of lucha libre.
