Class Action Alleges WWE Misled Fans About PLE Access on ESPN Unlimited
A class action lawsuit filed in January accuses WWE of deceptive marketing tied to PLE access on ESPN Unlimited, claiming the company misled viewers about how to watch premium events. The suit contends that subscribers who already receive ESPN channels through cable or other providers were nonetheless forced to pay an additional monthly fee to view WWE events.
The plaintiffs allege WWE’s representations about access and pricing were false or misleading and seek relief on behalf of affected consumers. The matter remains pending in court as the parties move through pretrial proceedings.
