Cody Rhodes Calls Himself the Face of WWE, Admits There’s Irony in the Role

During an appearance on The Ariel Helwani Show, Cody Rhodes declared himself the face of WWE while also acknowledging that the title ultimately belongs to whoever the fans choose. Rhodes said, “I’m gonna go ahead and say it,” when pressed by Helwani, adding that the current crop of top stars gives fans multiple viable candidates.

Rhodes reflected on the irony of his position given his family’s history with Jim Crockett Promotions and his own 2016 departure and return to WWE, noting he’s spent much of the last two years as champion. He also named other safe choices for the company’s face, including Roman Reigns, Rhea Ripley, CM Punk and Liv Morgan, and praised the roster’s experience and connection with the audience.
