Eric Bischoff Calls WWE’s The Bloodline ‘Best Storyline Ever,’ Warns of Corporate Dilution

Former WCW President and one-time WWE SmackDown Executive Director Eric Bischoff praised The Bloodline as the greatest storyline in pro wrestling history on his 83 Weeks podcast, saying, “I think The Bloodline storyline is absolutely the best storyline that’s ever been produced, written and produced, in this industry.” Bischoff added that while the quality tops anything he’s seen, its cultural impact may not match the NWO era for reasons beyond storytelling.

Bischoff also warned that corporate oversight and committee-based creative could water down the angle, quipping “a camel is a horse that’s created by committee,” but said he’s optimistic WWE and new parent company TKO can find a rhythm. With Jacob Fatu rejoining Roman Reigns and The Usos, Bischoff suggested the company appears to be revisiting successful elements and that, if handled well, the new Bloodline could still be “really, really good.”
