Eric Bischoff Slams Three-Hour Weekly Wrestling Shows
Former WWE and WCW executive Eric Bischoff has taken aim at the growing trend of three-hour weekly wrestling programs, arguing the extended format makes it difficult to maintain consistent quality and viewer interest. Bischoff warned that the length can lead to padding and uneven storytelling, undermining the product overall.
He said promoters face a significant programming challenge when stretching content to fill a full three hours, increasing the risk of filler segments and audience fatigue. Bischoff suggested that tighter, more focused shows would improve pacing, storytelling and long-term fan engagement.
