Finn Balor Officially Traded to WWE SmackDown
WWE has confirmed that Finn Balor is now a member of the SmackDown roster after the King of the Ring 2026 bracket listed him under the blue brand. The on-screen announcement came during Monday’s Raw in Turin, Italy, in a commercial break segment where Byron Saxton interviewed Judgment Day’s Dominik Mysterio and JD McDonough, though WWE did not reveal whether Raw will receive a SmackDown wrestler in return. The move formalizes Balor’s split from Judgment Day and further cements his babyface direction on WWE programming.
Balor’s SmackDown switch also places him in a King of the Ring first-round fatal four-way against Jey Uso, LA Knight and Royce Keys, with the winner slated to face one of Seth Rollins, Je’Von Evans, Talla Tonga or Ricky Saints in the semifinals; Oba Femi is the only wrestler to advance so far. The King of the Ring winner will earn a World Championship opportunity at SummerSlam, where SmackDown’s Cody Rhodes currently holds the Undisputed WWE Title.
