Gabe Kidd Returns at NJPW Dominion, Targets IWGP Global Champion Shota Umino
Gabe Kidd made a shocking return from injury at NJPW Dominion, storming the ring after Shota Umino captured the IWGP Global title in a three-way with Drilla Moloney and Andrade el Ídolo. Kidd attacked Umino, cut an obscenity-laced promo declaring Umino was never a member of the Death Riders and vowing to take the Global title when he was ready, even spitting at Hiroshi Tanahashi and on the NJPW lion mark at ringside.
Kidd’s appearance was his first since suffering a shoulder injury at AEW Dynasty in April during a Trios title match, and he used the moment to slam WWE and NJPW while proclaiming AEW as the place where the best wrestle. His return also ties into ongoing angles involving the Dogs faction — David Finlay and Clark Connors — who have been feuding with The Young Bucks and the team of Cope & Cage since Double or Nothing.
