George Barrios Explains Decision to Return to WWE Board Amid Allegations Against Vince McMahon
George Barrios, who departed WWE alongside Michelle Wilson in a “management transition” on January 30, 2020, has addressed his decision to return to the company’s board. Barrios originally joined WWE in March 2008 as Chief Financial Officer and was later promoted to co-president alongside Wilson, giving him deep institutional knowledge heading into the board role.
His return has drawn attention amid the fallout from Vince McMahon’s 2022 “retirement” following allegations of sexual misconduct and reported hush-money payments, placing Barrios back in the spotlight as WWE navigates questions of leadership and corporate governance.
