Gunther to Reveal Title Rematch Stipulation as King & Queen of the Ring Matches Set for SmackDown
Next Friday’s SmackDown in Providence, Rhode Island (June 12) will see Gunther announce the stipulation for his upcoming WWE title rematch after a heated confrontation with Cody Rhodes and Sami Zayn. Nick Aldis informed Cody that Gunther will name the stipulation on the show, while Cody pushed to defend the title as soon as possible and pointed to the June 19 SmackDown in Kansas City as his preferred date.
The episode will also feature first-round King and Queen of the Ring matches: a four-way King of the Ring bout with Finn Balor vs. Jey Uso vs. LA Knight vs. Royce Keys, and a Queen of the Ring four-way pitting Sol Ruca vs. Lyra Valkyria vs. Charlotte Flair vs. Jade Cargill. Winners will advance in their respective tournaments as the path to the finals continues on SmackDown.
