Haku Played Key Mentoring Role for Goldberg Early in His Career
In the formative days of Bill Goldberg’s wrestling career, he frequently worked with Haku — the longtime veteran who performed as Meng during his WCW run. Haku’s presence in the ring and in the locker room provided Goldberg with hands-on guidance and a firm grounding in in-ring fundamentals.
That mentorship helped shape Goldberg’s development as a performer, with Haku’s experience and toughness serving as a crucial influence during Goldberg’s rapid rise. The relationship is a reminder of how veteran talent in WCW helped bring newer stars up to speed during that era.
