Hazuki upsets Persephone, advances to Women’s Owen Hart Foundation semifinals

Stardom standout Hazuki pulled off a surprise victory on Saturday in the Women’s Owen Hart Foundation tournament, pinning Persephone with a cradle to move into the semifinals. After the match Mercedes Mone appeared, struck Persephone with the Owen Hart tournament title and a brawl ensued that ended with Hazuki wiping out Mone with a dive to the outside.

Hazuki will now face Mercedes Mone in the semifinal; Mone entered the bracket as a wildcard after defeating Alex Windsor and this marked her first action since dropping the TBS Championship to Willow Nightingale at the end of 2025. Persephone had been out in storyline after being misted by the Triangle of Madness and only recently returned on Collision, while Athena — who beat Mina Shirakawa at Double or Nothing — awaits the winner of Sareee vs. Skye Blue at this Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite Summer Blockbuster.
