Janel Grant to Receive Connecticut Advocacy Award Amid Ongoing Lawsuit Against Vince McMahon
The Connecticut Alliance to End Sexual Violence has announced Janel Grant as one of its 2026 Advocacy in Action Award winners, honoring her work sharing her experience and pushing for limits on nondisclosure agreements that silence survivors. The group praised Grant for her advocacy and will recognize her at its Annual Breakfast on September 11.
Grant, a former WWE employee, has an active lawsuit accusing Vince McMahon of physical and emotional abuse, sexual assault and sex trafficking; McMahon resigned after the suit was filed in early 2024. Grant has publicly thanked the Alliance for support and continues to press for NDA reform as her case appears to be moving toward private arbitration.
