JBL hails Chad Gable “best wrestler in the world” after AAA mask vs. mask shocker
John “Bradshaw” Layfield praised Chad Gable as “the best wrestler in the world” following AAA’s dramatic mask vs. mask match in Monterrey, where El Grande Americano defeated Original Grande Americano and the latter unmasked to reveal himself as Gable. Speaking on Busted Open Radio, JBL said the bout — and Gable’s work alongside Ludwig Kaiser — was “absolutely amazing.”
Layfield highlighted Gable’s ability to shift his character and earn heat with a new Mexican audience, and he also credited Kaiser for building the presentation and even learning the local Spanish dialect to sell the angle. JBL praised Mexico’s passionate lucha libre fans and called the match “wrestling at its very best.”
