Jey Uso Advances to King of the Ring Semifinals After SmackDown Victory

Jey Uso advanced to the men’s King of the Ring semifinals on Friday’s SmackDown, emerging from a four-way opening round match that also featured Royce Keys, LA Knight, and Finn Balor. The finish saw Solo Sikoa hand a spike to Knight in an attempt to aid Keys, who hit an ultimate spinebuster, but Uso climbed the top rope and connected with a splash onto Knight for the pinfall.

Uso will now face Je’Von Evans in the semifinals, while Oba Femi meets Dominik Mysterio on the opposite side; the winners will clash at Night of Champions for the King of the Ring crown and a SummerSlam title shot. Uso has already declared his intention to challenge Cody Rhodes for the WWE Championship at SummerSlam, and on the women’s side Charlotte Flair advanced to face Liv Morgan after eliminating Sol Ruca, Lyra Valkyria, and Jade Cargill, with IYO SKY vs. Raquel Rodriguez completing that bracket.
