Jinder Mahal Breaks Down WWE Contracts and the “Bucket” Pay System
Raj Dhesi, better known as Jinder Mahal, is using his platform to help fellow wrestlers better manage their finances and secure the industry’s future. In a recent Instagram video, he explained how WWE contracts work, highlighting concepts like downside guarantees and what he calls the “bucket system.”
Mahal described the bucket system as a way talent can be paid through multiple streams — including main-event bonuses and TV payments — rather than relying solely on a base salary, and said educating performers on these structures can improve long-term stability for wrestlers.
