John Cena Elaborates on “Financial Suicide” Remark, Jokes Elon Musk Would Have to Give Up “A Whole Lot”
John Cena addressed the reaction to his earlier comment that it would be “financial suicide” for someone to try and get him to wrestle another match, expanding on the quip during an appearance at SpaceCon San Antonio. Cena joked that even someone like Elon Musk “would have to give up a whole lot” to convince him to lace up the boots again, underscoring the tongue-in-cheek nature of the original line.
The WWE legend made clear that any future in-ring return would be on his terms, reflecting his focus on outside projects and limited wrestling appearances. Cena’s remarks continue to fuel conversation about if and when the 16-time world champion might step back into the ring for another marquee encounter.
