Kay Lee Ray (Alba Fyre) Makes Surprise Return at Pro Wrestling EVE
Kay Lee Ray made an unannounced return to the ring Friday in London, answering Molly Spartan’s open challenge at Pro Wrestling EVE and picking up the win after hitting a Swanton. The segment included a fake-out with Abi Cartwright as “Abi Fyre” before KLR’s entrance, and commentary hailed the former EVE Champion as the embodiment of the promotion; AEW’s Will Ospreay shared video of the crowd’s reaction to her return.
KLR’s appearance comes after her April 24 release from WWE during post-WrestleMania roster cuts — she had competed across NXT, NXT UK (holding the NXT UK Women’s Championship for nearly two years), and the main roster, including a Women’s Tag Team title run with Isla Dawn and a recent SmackDown alignment with Chelsea Green. The surprise comeback marks her first match since departing WWE and a high-profile homecoming for the longtime indie star.
