Kevin Nash Backs SAG-AFTRA Push but Won’t Lead WWE Unionization Effort

Kevin Nash says he wants WWE talent to receive a larger share of the company’s revenue and has publicly supported talks of wrestlers joining SAG-AFTRA after WWE’s post-WrestleMania 42 cuts. On his Kliq This podcast Nash compared the NBA’s collective bargaining outcome — roughly a 50% revenue split — to WWE talent’s estimated 15% share as of 2022, but admits he is not actively pursuing unionization himself, citing retirement, union dues and limited personal benefit.

Nash also argued that the evolving media landscape (Netflix, ESPN, etc.) has increased top-star pay, and that a union might have been more impactful for his generation than for today’s roster. He added that his lasting contribution to the business was helping normalize large guaranteed contracts by openly sharing pay figures in the WCW locker room alongside Scott Hall.
