Lyra Valkyria Turns on Bayley After Tag Title Loss on WWE Raw in London

Lyra Valkyria abruptly turned heel and attacked Bayley following a failed challenge for the WWE Women’s Tag Team titles on Monday’s Raw in London. Valkyria and Bayley challenged Brie Bella and Paige for the belts, with Valkyria taking the fall; her frustration boiled over into a post-match beatdown that required officials to separate them, and she even laid Bayley out with a Nightwing strike afterward.

Backstage, Valkyria refused to explain her actions during an interview with Jackie Redmond, leaving Bayley’s status in limbo and setting up a singles program between the former partners. Valkyria is a former Women’s Tag Team Champion with Becky Lynch, who tweeted in character that she’d warned Valkyria that “Basic Bayley” would hold her back, adding fuel to the new rivalry.
